Peter Sutton is running the Liverpool Half Marathon on 15 March 2026 in support of Forget Me Not. Heres a little background as to why Peter has chosen to support us:

On 21st August 2024, at 3:30pm, my mum passed away peacefully. In her later years she lived with dementia. Although she often seemed content in her own little bubble, as a family we truly came to understand what people mean when they say you lose your loved ones twice.

The care she received throughout her journey was outstanding, and I will always be grateful to those who supported her with such compassion and dedication. Their work makes an incredible difference to families like mine.

That’s why I’m running in support of Forget Me Not to help other families facing similar challenges. Any support, no matter how small, means the world.

I’ve never really considered myself a runner, but over the past few years my daughter and I have taken part in several 5k charity runs and, strangely enough, weve enjoyed them. After our most recent event, I decided it was time to push myself further and take on a new challenge: the Liverpool Half Marathon. It’s an amazing opportunity to run through a fantastic city while taking on 13 miles of effort and determination. Ive been training for the last 6 months, in wind rain and the occasional sunny day using the Runna App as well as seeking guidance from seasoned professionals. So on Sunday March 15th at 930am, the run will begin and I know for every mile I will be thinking of my mum as well as the difference the funds I raise will make to the lives of someone living with dementia.

Please support Peter and donate if you can 💜👟🏅
